Gds: Juventus ready to snatch Tonali from Milan

Elliott has blocked AC Milan’s initial agreement with Brescia for Sandro Tonali. Juventus are lurking in the background.

A few days ago AC Milan had agreed to change payment terms for Sandro Tonali. The Rossoneri have already paid 10 million for his loan and needed to pay another 25 million to make the transfer permanent. Paolo Maldini convinced Brescia to lower the fee to 15 million by offer Giacomo Olzer in exchange.

Nevertheless, the match between Milan and Brescia is not over yet. We are close to the 90th minute but the game is still in the balance. La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) reports that the deadline for the Tonali’s signing expires tomorrow but the two clubs have not yet found an agreement. The parties are not far away but the white smoke has not arrived and that’s because of Elliott Management.

Milan asked for and received a discount but apparently that’s not enough. The last contact between Maldini and Brescia president Cellino dates back to last week. Then, silence. The inclusion of Olzer in the deal made it possible to bring the two clubs closer but Elliott does not want to spend more than 10 million (the same fee that has already been paid for the loan) for the purchase of Tonali.

Meanwhile, Juventus are lurking on the background. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, coach Massimiliano Allegri is an admirer of the 21-year-old midfielder. Juventus are carefully observing the evolution of the situation. If Milan at the end don’t sign Tonali permanently, Juve could be his next destination.

Maldini is back at work to find a pleasing solution for all parties. The inclusion of young striker Lorenzo Colombo could unblock the talks. The Italian defensive midfielder made 37 appearances in his first season with the Rossoneri.
